Project Overview

Complex remediation and civil enabling works undertaken within a live mining and industrial environment to support BHP's broader environmental remediation program.

Scope

  • Bulk earthworks and site remediation.

  • Construction of a Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

  • Installation of DN1200 stormwater drainage infrastructure.

  • Services relocations, including HV electrical and hydraulic services.

  • Demolition and removal of redundant fuel infrastructure.

Contribution

As National Bid Manager, I led the bid process from opportunity assessment through to contract award, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs across engineering, estimating, procurement and operations teams.

Key Achievements

  • Secured the company's first-ever project for BHP.

  • Successfully entered the mining and resources sector for the first time.

  • Won the largest contract awarded to the company at the time.

  • Expanded operations into a new geographic region, Western Australia.

  • Established a strategic relationship with a Tier 1 mining client and created a platform for future growth in the resources sector.
