Project Overview
Complex remediation and civil enabling works undertaken within a live mining and industrial environment to support BHP's broader environmental remediation program.
Scope
Bulk earthworks and site remediation.
Construction of a Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
Installation of DN1200 stormwater drainage infrastructure.
Services relocations, including HV electrical and hydraulic services.
Demolition and removal of redundant fuel infrastructure.
Contribution
As National Bid Manager, I led the bid process from opportunity assessment through to contract award, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs across engineering, estimating, procurement and operations teams.
Key Achievements
Secured the company's first-ever project for BHP.
Successfully entered the mining and resources sector for the first time.
Won the largest contract awarded to the company at the time.
Expanded operations into a new geographic region, Western Australia.
Established a strategic relationship with a Tier 1 mining client and created a platform for future growth in the resources sector.
